Are you entering the Landscape photographer of the year competition?

I don't enter many competitions. I used to but now the whole process seems to leave me feeling very empty; picking images trying to meet a the rules of the competition, or match the particular likes of a judge. I prefer participation in active debate and critique over images, the aim being to improve my knowledge of the subject. But I though what the heck! As I am predominantly a Landscape photographer based in the UK I would give it a go. So here we go this is my 2014 Landscape photographer of the year entry.

Ice and Water Foggintor Quarry, Hill Cottages The Hidden Falls Of Venford Brook Below Raddick Hill, Lone Tree
Hisley Bridge Castlerigg Stone Circle Buttermere Mist

This is a good representation of my landscape photography work. More examples can be found in the Landscape photography gallery.

In 2014 and 2015 I plan to enter more competitions and exhibitions, wether its a good idea or not I thought sharing this journey with you maybe useful. You can find out more about the Landscape Photographer Of The Year through their website. But you need to be quick to get your entry in they close submissions on the 11th July.
