Dartmoor 20 Project

The Dartmoor 20 project was born out of a need for creative constraint. Committed to raising a young family, travel further afield was paused, prompting me to look deeper at the landscape less than an hour from my door. For over ten years, I restricted my work within the boundaries of Dartmoor National Park, shooting exclusively in black and white. This fixed capsule of twenty images is the result of that decade. By stripping away the distraction of colour, the project became a masterclass in reading raw texture, the spirit of the moor, and the timeless weight of granite.
