Leading a Photography Workshop

I run one-to-one and group photography workshops along the Devon and Cornwall border across the Dartmoor National Park. I help photographers of all abilities, from complete novices learning basic technical skills to photographers who have mastered these skills and are looking deeper into the meaning and art of photography.

I have over 35 years of experience behind the camera lens, in the darkroom and in the digital editing suite. I have met and helped many photographers start and continue their journey. As an independent photographer, I can structure my workshop content and location to meet your needs. Working close to my home in the Dartmoor National Park, I am a member of Nature First - the alliance for responsible nature photography.

Photography Lectures

I provide in-person and online photography lectures to local, national and international audiences. I have several talks available, mainly Landscape photography and monochrome. Online Lectures enable me to reach people and clubs constrained by distance, time and money. Either way, the content is the same.

I can offer members of photography clubs generous discounts on group workshops arranged through the club following the talk. Many photographers carry on to follow me on YouTube and social media.

I relish interacting with the audience. The lectures are inspirational and aspirational, and if I encourage a few to try something new if someone learns something new and you're entertained the evening will have been a success.

Fine Art Prints

I am aware that everyone who has a phone is a photographer. People will question if buying a photographic print has any value today. I believe it has and that is why I offer Fine Art Photographic Prints from my Portfolio. There is nothing more exhilarating for a photographer than someone wanting one of their prints hanging on the wall. But why would you?

Photography is there to be enjoyed by everyone, and phones are great but not everyone is a photographer. The small details and nuances that a skilled photographer will tease out of the landscape creates art not just photos.

My prints are supplied carefully wrapped in tissue paper protected by a presentation box, signed and with a certificate of authenticity, these make great gifts.
