I have been running workshops for over 10 years. And have also delivered in excess of 100 lectures, in person and online, nationally and internationally, gaining new skills and insight into photography.
I Have enjoyed leading workshops with photographers of all abilities, passing on my knowledge, passion and skills regardless of age or ability, using a style that suits them. Some people learn better by trial and error and need time to make mistakes and ask for advice, while others simply want a demonstration. I have taken novice photographers with their first camera, having no knowledge but progressing to understand and use basic photographic theory and camera controls by the end of the workshop. I have also worked with experienced photographers whose work has grown a little stale, looking to reignite that passion and find a fresh way to look at the subjects and world around them.
I am a self-taught outdoor and landscape photographer. I have been learning the art and craft of photography for over 35 years and continue to polish those skill every time I go out. During that time, I have worked with both film and digital cameras (Canon, Nikon, Sony), and printed Black & White and Colour in my own "wet" darkroom.
I have been published and featured online by:Light and Landscape,
F-Stoppers,
On Landscape
Shutterbug.
Have Lectured OnLine for the RPS.
And lecture Regularly for National and International Photographic Societies and clubs.I am as passionate about shaing my photographing and passing on my Knowledge, passion and skills as I am about producing my own work.

Hi Brian,
I just wanted to thank you for yesterday, I had a really great day and learned so much, Thankyou. As I said it was exactly what I was looking for and has really helped me think about my photography and composition.
Best regards MitchDear Brian,
I really enjoyed the workshop. The reason why I chose this one is because he organised a practical course. I enjoyed both walking in Dartmoor (with beautiful scenery) and learning from Brian in making pictures with different techniques. It was really nice speaking about the theory during our walking. So I done the first of the three workshops, after improving my photo skills I'm going back to book the second and the third for sure.
Rgds, IsabellaVery informative. A great help. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back for workshop number 2.” JC
